Also death row in the 30-s feels so belivable and well researched here.
Just dont expect it to be a horror story just because it is SK. And yes, it is really very sad, you put the finger right on to a central thing in it there. I was thinking the other day of all the SK novels i have read (about a dozen), which ones does not have a mostly happy ending (albeit with some important characters dead) and could only think of Pet Sematary, but this one really does not either. It's incredible how Stephen King can write such a hard-boiled account of good vs evil in a very depressing setting, yet still make it a page-turner and compelling read!Etudesquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13106938419901219249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6275165298547340568.post-2705751486346745872013-04-09T23:45:50.664+01:002013-04-09T23:45:50.664+01:00I knooooow. On the BBC Buffy website they used to have episode recaps with a section called Riley you big lug, which always made me chuckle :) He's just stupid! Grr!

I really want to go back and read all of my Margaret Atwood books again, because I read most of them for the first time when I was 16-18, and I think I would definitely like them on a different level now.

I do have twitter (although I don't tweet a lot, I reply to lots of other people's tweets)!!! I totally do that with tv shows A LOT. I think it's just a natural thing for your brain to just focus on things you really really like (or, like, just need to think about a lot.) I LOVE your Buffy sharings though, cause OMG I was totally having a conversation on twitter yesterday and we were all going 'UGH Riley!' Because does anyone like him? I think not. (You has twitter? Join twitter and be my frieeeend!)

Ohhhh, definitely. Now I know about this whole phenomenon, there are times when I'm reading books and I'm like 'I am SO going to get more from this when I've lived more' (I'm pretty much just talking about Crime and Punishment) and then books that speak to me RIGHT NOW I'm probably going to be like 'jeez. stop moaning' about them in the future. It's WEIRD. But also so cool.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17371636785566309578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6275165298547340568.post-6863864577728040412013-04-08T20:14:55.716+01:002013-04-08T20:14:55.716+01:00All I can say is that I love this book too :)

And I'm not ready to start with a scary book, hehe.

It is weird how you sort of end up remembering things differently to how they actually were, I did that with Buffy, before I rewatched it.. in my mind, all of the relationships went on for ages, and things like Willow and Oz had wayyy more of them being cute together, and then you rewatch it and it's like.. really?! is that it?! I think your brain ends up sort of exaggerating stuff that you liked (or didn't like, as I remember thinking that Riley and Buffy were together forever too, and urgh Riley).

I think the world would be boring though if we remembered everything perfectly. Maybe with a lot less unsolved murders, but boring. It's always fun to go back and read/watch something again years later, knowing that it's probably going to be a different experience to the first time you watched it!Jimjamjennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02249933703532348607noreply@blogger.com
