My unread pile is about +15 from the beginning of the year, not disgraceful but going up instead of down.

I'm not signing up for RIP this year, but it is the time to dip into some scary books. I've got The Passage by Justin Cronin, and planning to buddy-read it with my best friend as we did The Stand in the spring. And we've started watching Stranger Things on Netflix.Katie Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00869522403254546153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6275165298547340568.post-87285759407868853612016-09-05T21:50:14.700+01:002016-09-05T21:50:14.700+01:00Those are pretty good stats, to be honest! But still yay us)

Rosemary's Baby is very good if you fancy it. Rebecca is amaaaazing and I love it and want to have its babies. I think I can not buy books for 4 months because seriously I've got over 300 books I have to read and COME ON, me. That is more than enough. You seem to buy books more sensibly so I understand your need to replenish!

Sooooo many! I'm excited.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17371636785566309578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6275165298547340568.post-41702096166566771912016-09-05T08:08:46.815+01:002016-09-05T08:08:46.815+01:00Oh yeah, I was taking part in RYODB too! I think maybe 25 of my 40-ish reads so far this year have been books that have been on my shelf since before 2016, and almost all of them have been MY books, just a couple of library books. AND a couple of them have been books that I've bought AND READ IMMEDIATELY, which is a massive improvement for me, haha. Not too shabby anyway... :)

Aaaaand we have loads of the same books on our RIP piles, yay! AND I FORGOT ABOUT MY IRA LEVIN BOOKS WHAT. I read Stepford Wives last year, so maybe Rosemary's Baby this year? I already pulled down The Silence of the Lambs, Shutter Island and The Woman in Black, and I OWN The Haunted Hotel, Blindness and SWTWC. I should reread Rebecca. Horrorstor is perfect for RIP. Beloved is fucking weird but I THINK I read it for RIP last year, funnily enough. LET US GO FORTH AND SCARE OURSELVES SHITLESS LAURA. TIS THE SEASON ETC ETC. I will also say GOOD LUCK with the book buying ban and not that I think you can't do it but man, I don't think I could.

Soooo many good books on your RIP listRedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16456600806188531803noreply@blogger.com
